New PhD Program in Human Genome Sciences

Our lab is affiliated with Yale’s new Human Genome Sciences (HGS) track in the Biological & Biomedical Sciences PhD Program. Hoon serves as Director of Graduate Admissions for HGS.

NSF Grant for Confidential Genome Analytics

We received a new NSF grant to build tools using trusted execution environments (TEEs) and related technologies for secure genome imputation and analytics.

Hoon received a secondary appointment in the CS department at Yale.

Joining the Yale Institute for Foundations of Data Science

Hoon became a member of the Yale Institute for Foundations of Data Science (FDS), a hub for interdisciplinary research on mathematical, algorithmic, and statistical foundations of data science.

Best Student Paper Award at RECOMB 2024

Our paper on secure detection of genetic relatives, led by Matt Hong at MIT, won the Best Student Paper Award at RECOMB 2024. Congratulations to Matt!
